Ride-on benches
In our community of Oberrot, we have introduced an innovative and environmentally friendly addition to local public transport: the Mitfahrbänkle. Thanks to the support of LEADER-funding, this project is an important step towards improving mobility in our community while strengthening social cohesion.
How does the shared bench work?
It's simple: Instead of sticking your thumb out for a ride, sit on one of our ride-along benches. These are located at strategic points and are clearly marked. With the signs that show two directions of travel, you use an arrow to indicate which direction you want to be taken.
Where can you find our ride-along bench?
-
In Oberrot (direction Gaildorf and Schwäbisch Hall, Rottalstraße 2-4)
-
In Hausen (towards Oberrot and Gaildorf)
-
In Badhaus (towards Oberrot and Murrhardt)
-
In Hohenhardtsweiler (towards Schwäbisch Hall and Oberrot)
-
In Obermühle (towards Oberrot and Schwäbisch Hall)
-
In Wolfenbrück (towards Oberrot and Murrhardt)
How can you participate?
As a driver: Register with the municipality by handing in the registration form at the town hall. You will then receive a sticker for your windscreen that identifies you as a participant in the project.
As a passenger: Request a "carpooling ticket" from the municipality. This form serves as a signal to the drivers that you are waiting for a lift and not for the bus.
